Power Innovations’ UPQnet-agent II provides a powerful, Web-based interface to monitor and control any Uninterruptible Power Quality (UPQ) unit. Through the UPQnet-agent II – via a network, an IP address or dial-up connection – a comprehensive, easy-to-understand, and secure Web page provides vital information from the UPQ system. For remote monitoring or control of critical power, nothing compares to the flexibility of the UPQnet-agent II connected to a UPQ system

The UPQnet-agent II uses Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) to communication with the UPQ system (Refer to the “SNMP Basics” section for additional information). This universal protocol allows for Internet access of real-time power status and history reports. It even provides remote control of connected UPQ systems. Additionally, SNMP gives the UPQnet-agent II seamless integration with popular network management tools such as HP OpenView or Microsoft SMS. UPQnet-agent II provides the flexibility to monitor and control power from within a network, from a remote location via any Internet-connected PC, remotely via direct dial-up, or from handheld devices such as a PDA or a cell phone.

UPQnet-agent II is available as an external hardware device connected via a serial port or built into a Rack Front Loadable (RFL) UPQ system. Each unit has a powerful internal CPU that performs all the required functions independent of attached hardware.
