LINDON, Utah, June 28, 2007— Police cars, ambulances, and fire engines will not be the only vehicles associated with flashing lights and sirens in numerous Utah parades this summer. The PowerHawk™, a product of Power Innovations Int'l of Lindon, is a new addition to the first response vehicle fleet. This unique vehicle is an emergency mobile power command center.

The PowerHawk, the first-of-its-kind, is designed to assist paramedic, fire, and other first response teams in rescue operations. It provides traditional first response needs, as well as perfect, quality power for critical applications.

“The vehicle ensures that quality power is available at the scene when utility power is compromised or non-existent,” says Robert Mount, President and CEO of Power Innovations Int'l. “Power Innovations is excited to show Utah what this vehicle has to offer.”

The PowerHawk was featured in Pleasant Grove’s Strawberry Days, and will be featured in America’s Freedom Festival Grande Parade in Provo and the Lindon Days Parade.

The PowerHawk contains emergency equipment, while also providing up to 50 kVA of scalable power for a remote military operation, a rescue base station, to back sensitive medical equipment in a hospital. The PowerHawk is customizable for various municipality, military, and government applications.

The PowerHawk has been a large project for the Utah company, which formed its relationship with Ford and carefully defined the market and customer needs before building a commercial unit.
