Lindon, Utah, May 21, 2008 – Power Innovations has released UPQnet-agent III, a more powerful Web server and accompanying Web page.  The new product allows more advanced remote monitoring and control of the company’s Uninterruptible Power Quality™ (UPQ™) systems and connected site equipment, as well as environmental conditions in the surrounding area.  This release has several new features and functions.

Since it is imperative that sensitive critical equipment be monitored, but it is not practical or efficient to always have someone physically there to monitor, Power Innovations has always had remote monitoring capabilities.  This new release provides superior technology features, as well as improved performance and functionality. 

The major addition to UPQnet-agent III is the eAlert Sensor option. The eAlert Sensor monitors environmental conditions surrounding the physical UPQ unit and connected equipment, notifies the user of any changes, and automatically makes needed, pre-set responses.

“Pre-determined conditions for a preventative shutdown are set, including power issues critical temperature or humidity levels, variations in water level, the presence of smoke and/or when there is unauthorized access to the area. In the event of a preventative shutdown, the eAlert Sensor auto-saves files and shuts down the operating system, thus protecting the equipment,” says Robert Mount, president / CEO of Power Innovations.

The UPQnet-agent III is equipped with three (3) serial ports to allow additional connections for environmental sensors.  Upgrades on the Web page provide more monitoring and control options, increasing the user’s ability to track what is taking place, not only with the equipment, but in the surrounding area as well.
